IGCSE
I did IGCSE Art and Design in 2015/16. During this time, I saw a significant evolution in my fine art skills. The course constantly challenged me with unconventional themes, pushing me to experiment with a variety of mediums, such as biro pen, chalk, watercolors, acrylic, charcoal, and more.
One piece of advice I frequently received from my teacher was to loosen up, as my work tended to be highly detailed and intricate. While I tried creating a few freer, more abstract pieces, they never made it to my final boards - simply because they didn’t reflect my artistic identity. It was a pivotal realization: to produce work that truly resonated, I needed to remain authentic to my style.
By the end of the course, I submitted:
-
Two coursework projects: Viewpoints and Forces
-
One final project: Past, Present, Future
I was proud to have achieved a perfect score of 200/200.
